GAT Shield gives an admin an option to manage the organization’s YouTube settings. by allowing blocking explicit results on YouTube.
To apply these settings follow the instructions below.
In Shield navigate to Configuration and select the YouTube Access tab.
A new window will be displayed.
Select on Restrict YouTube mode
There are two different Filter modes
- Strict Restricted YouTube access—This setting is the most restrictive.
Strict Restricted Mode does not block all videos, but works as a filter to screen out many videos based on an automated system, while leaving some videos still available for viewing.
This setting is enabled by default when you choose the option “restrict content for logged-in users in your organization”.
- Moderate Restricted YouTube access—This is similar to Strict Restricted Mode but makes a much larger collection of videos available.
- Additional details can be found here
Under Scope choose the Users that will be affected by these restrictions: Users, Group, Org. Units.
When this rule is applied, the YouTube restricted mode will be enabled for the selected users.
They will still be able to access YouTube, but the settings help restrict which videos are available to your users.
