Bulk Onboard Students and add them to Google Classrooms
To do so open GAT+ and navigate to Flow.
Create a workflow
When you login in go to Create a workflow
Then, pick a name for the workflow and set the type to Onboarding
You can click on “run immediately after approva” option to set this action to take effect in future time
Click on Next to proceed
Create the user(s)
In Search for a user tab
Pick the domain name and select the email prefixes
There are two options to add users
- Add a new user – add users in the UI
- Import users – via spreadsheets
- Then open the Sheet
- Fill in the details of the users that will be created
Use copy/paste from your spreadsheet and place in this GAT created
- When the list of users is added, click on the checkmark to add and import the users.
- The users will be shown in the UI (fill in additional details if needs be).
Choose actions to be taken
Click on Proceed to actions button and a new window will be displayed.
Pick any of the actions from the menu option on the left side.
For this use case, select Add student(s) to Google Classrooms
Pick the classrooms where the students will be added to.
Additonally you can do those steps to onboard and modify users and Add teacher(s) to Google Classrooms
Send approval to Security Officer
Click on Send approval request.
The Security officer will receive an email to approve the request.
See the progress of the job
The progress of this job can be seen in Workflow – eye icon
When approved the students will be onboarded and added to the selected classrooms in bulk.
