Def. User Behavior Analytics (UBA) in the cybersecurity world is a concept that looks into the everyday behaviour of a network’s users to identify malicious behaviour such as intruder compromise and other risky behavior.
How User Behavior Analytics tools differ from traditional security tools:
User Behaviour Analysis tools track the system’s users, rather than devices or security events, creating a baseline of that behavior for users and entities, whereby any deviations thereof allows entities to detect things like insider threats that traditional security tools can’t identify.
