Credential stuffing is a type of cyberattack that uses stolen account credentials (usernames and/or email addresses and their passwords) to gain unauthorized access into accounts on various other services.

How it happens?

Attackers take a massive number of usernames and passwords (often from breach) then “stuff” those credentials into the login page of other online services. Because people often reuse the same username and password across multiple sites, attackers can use one piece of credential info to unlock multiple accounts.
